Super-easy smoothie recipes for summer

When the temperatures rise, nothing satisfies quite like a smoothie. Packed with nutrients, protein and healthy fats, they’re a great solution for snacks or small meals. This season try these tasty recipes (each serves 2) and get set to savor every sip.

Peanut Butter and Jelly Smoothie from JUSTIN’S® (above)

Ingredients

2 tablespoons JUSTIN’S® Classic Peanut Butter

2 cups almond milk (or other milk)

1 cup plain Greek yogurt

1 frozen banana

2 cups frozen berries

1 cup ice cubes

Directions

1. Combine all of the ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth.

Morning Celebration Smoothie from Earthbound Farm Organic

1. Add all ingredients to your blender, in the order listed, and blend until smooth and frothy.

Cinnamon-Blueberry Smoothie from Califia Farms

1. Blend banana, blueberries, hemp seeds, spinach, cinnamon + coconut water together until well combined. Add ice + creamer, then blend until smooth. 

Chocolate Chia Smoothie from Ripple Foods

Ingredients 

  • 2 cups Ripple Chocolate Milk
  • 2 frozen bananas, cut into chunks
  • 2 tablespoons chocolate protein powder (we love Orgain)
  • 2 tablespoons chia seeds, divided
  • 2 tablespoons almond butter
  • 2 dates, pitted

Directions

  1. In blender, mix together Ripple Chocolate Milk, bananas, protein powder, 4 tsp chia seeds, almond butter and dates until smooth.
  2. Pour into 2 glasses; top with remaining chia seeds.

Tip: For a vanilla smoothie, substitute Ripple Vanilla Milk for Ripple Chocolate Milk and vanilla protein powder for chocolate protein powder.

Cocoa Berry Smoothie from Vital Proteins

  1. Add the ingredients to your blender in the order listed so the liquid is at the bottom.
  2. Blend on medium speed, increasing to high speed until the smoothie is thick and smooth.

  1. Combine all ingredients in blender and blend until smooth.
  2. Pour & enjoy!

Orange Turmeric Ginger Smoothie from Uncle Matt's Organic

Ingredients

* 1 cup Uncle Matt’s Organic orange juice

* 2 teaspoons fresh organic minced ginger

* 1/2 teaspoon turmeric

* 1 cup ice cubes

Directions

1. Add all ingredients to the blender and blend until smooth, about 60 to 90 seconds.

2. Add 1/2 cup of your favorite nuts for a creamier texture, or almond/coconut milk. You can also add your favorite protein powder to make it a complete meal.
